The Position 

VAF Memstar is Australia’s leading developer and provider of membrane-based wine filtration and processing systems. The expanding business has an exciting opportunity for a technically minded “hands-on” Operator for its new MemLo dealcoholisation business located in Nuriootpa, South Australia.

The successful candidate will report to the Memlo Coordinator and will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of state-of-the-art equipment.

This role is solely based onsite at our state-of-the-art facilities in the Barossa Valley.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Operating and monitoring specialised wine filtration and processing equipment.
  • Undertaking cellar operations including, loading and unloading bulk wine tankers, additions, and spirit transfers.
  • Basic routine wine analysis.
  • Maintaining equipment in top condition.
  • Accurate record keeping.
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster up to 24/5 operations in line with business growth.

 

The successful candidate will have a background in the wine industry and be competent in modern cellar operations. In addition, a strong capability for independent operation and understanding of advanced winery equipment is required. Thorough training and support throughout employment is provided.

A valid driver’s licence and forklift licence are essential.
