The Memstar process is a diversely capable technology, capable of providing a tailored service that can solve a diverse range of issues with wine production – alcohol correction, volatile acidity reduction, Brettanomyces/smoke taint removal, and flavour concentration.
Memstar involves a unique reverse osmosis process that separates the wine to be treated into a concentrate and permeate. The permeate can then be treated through a choice of specially designed filters to correct or remove undesirable components, and finally be recombined with the concentrate. The closed loop system design means that the wine can be separated, treated, and recombined as many times as required.
