How does cross-flow filtration work?

Distinct from traditional cross-flow filtration, our dead-end filtration technology employs a larger surface area of membrane filters for more efficient processing of wine solids, while also ensuring no desirable wine components are lost in the filtration – since no wine passes the membrane. This technology even allows for remaining wine solids caught in the membranes to be back-washed for further filtration, offering unparalleled control over the final product.

Benefits of Memlux Cross-Flow Filtration

  • Efficient – capable of processing up to 200 or 1,800 litres an hour
  • Cost effective – affordable for any product with significant results from a single pass
  • Quality assurance – gentlest process available on the market, employing low pressure and no heat increase
  • User friendly – process can be semi-automated with an accessible PLC
